Sandbach has hosted markets in the town since it was granted a royal charter in 1579 by Queen Elizabeth I. The focal point for the Charter Market is the Sandbach Market Hall, based inside Sandbach Town Hall and dating from 1890. Inside there are over 20 independent traders, with businesses specialising in meat, fish, cheese, sweets, and crafts. Open 9am-4pm, Thursday-Saturday.

Think it's getting more vibrant,it could do with a little more diversity maybe a makeover. Maybe a flea market from time to time would bring in more people ,nice for the winter months ,also for more passing trade a coffee shop

Unfortunately following trend of most indoor markets now. Not a lot of stalls , what there is is uninspiring . Stalls were not cheap - following the change that seems to be happening - MArkets used to be a place for reasonable quality at good...More

Visiting Sandbach for the monthly farmers/makers market in the Square and popped in to the market hall. A grand old historical building that deserves to be seen and admired. The butchers and fish stall are good but the hall itself looks like it has lost...More

Too few stalls. Very little on offer anymore. Seems to be dwindling. Not worth going. Shame as I can remember it being quite big at one point. :(

Can't fault this fish stall!!! Quality counts here!!! Fantastic selection of The Freshest Fish, A Family run Business, Direct from the port of Fleetwood Every Thursday and Saturday. An Indoor Market Favourite for 30yrs!!!

Not sure what we expected apart from heard good reports. Plenty of stalls but certainly wasn't as busy as thought it was going to be (lovely day as well). Not somewhere we would visit again as simply did not have a lot going for it.

The hall, and various market days are, basically, full of over priced 'local' food and home made tat jewellery and crafts. Really, who wants this rubbish? Why pay stupid prices for 'home made' cheese and meat, when the product is no better than the wide...More

Fantastic selection of products on both the inside and outdoor markets. I make a point of visiting every week and cant see this trend ending soon!!
