Always been interested to visit because we drive past regularly and finally took the time to stop. It's quite small but an interesting insight into what a small chapel like this would have been like. There is a small chapel and a museum to look around. The 2 ladies were helpful and helped make the visit more fun, dressing my... More

An interesting little group of buildings illustrating the history of the independent Methodists, of whom I knew nothing. I found the museum the best part and the staff were very friendly. There is easy parking and a little café.

there is a friendly welcome. Good collection of early Methodist memorabilia. The museum caters for school parties giving pupils a feeling of what it was like to be a child in bygone days. Good parking except when a special event is on when neighbours allow visitors to park on their land. Very friendly village.

If you are into floral creations this is the ideal time to visit 11-14th June 2015. The Museum is a delight in it's own right, full of interesting artefacts & easy to follow history relating to the Methodist Church. This weekend it is adorned with fantastic imaginative floral arrangements. The setting is tranquil, the flowers stunning - a talented collection... More

A trip here is a mixed one. The museum part is good but the chapel itself is a bit in need of further money for refurbishment. The little café is fairly basic but the staff very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.

Having recently visited this small hidden gem, we would really recommend visiting this lovely attraction. There is good parking across from the chapel & museum, with the chapel graveyard (where Hugh Bourne leader of the Primitive Methodist movement is buried), situated next to it. Also, within the car park are 3 large crosses representing the loss of life of 3... More

We were expecting a lot more, with all the 'hype' on the internet, it was very uncomfortable for myself as an atheist. But the parking was good and the staff were friendly.

As a wheel chair user, this was a great experience for me and the children! The parking was no trouble & the staff were at a steady pace.

A brilliant little place with very knowledgeable staff. As a wheelchair user, I was impressed by the great access for such a small attraction. They have a new ramp from the road (car park across the road) which provides level access to the main room where the exhibition is. Back outside the ramp also carries on around the side of... More
