I have been visiting Paxton Pits for years, enjoying walks around the pits and along the riverside. It feels as though you are a long way from the town though in reality its only a short drive from St Neots and a walk from Little Paxton village. There is parking available and good paths , though they can get muddy... More

This Nature Reserve, signposted from the St. Neots/Little Paxton junction of the A1 comprises a diverse, well managed habitat teaming with wildlife....birds, butterflies, damselfies, otters and a profusion of wild flowers. It is probably best known for its regular migrant population of Nightingales which can be seen and heard singing in April/May. There is a well equipped Visitors' Centre serving... More

Have been visiting this nature reserve for dog walks for years and i love it here. The volunteers work tirelessly to keep the pits going. It makes for a lovely walk with lots of nature, a tranquil lake to relax by and do visit the cafe for a hot or cold drink and snacks after! Staff are so friendly and... More

It doesn't matter what the weather is like, there is always soemthing to see here. Its a great haven for wildlife. My favourite spot is if you head straight down to the river and just as the path turns a sharp left for the ouse valley way, keep going straight to the river. Sit on the bank there. Its so... More

Free parking, large areas of wheelchair accessible paths and the opportunity to book an electric off road wheelchair. A straight forward range of reasonably priced drinks

Beautiful place to see some beautiful birds and wildlife. We visit at least once a week and very rarely don't see the kingfishers!!

Very busy place at weekends hard to park, but worth the visit, good for mountain bikes with small children. Plenty of walks round with lots of hides and places to stop an look at the wildlife. Nice little cafe and visitors centre, quiet a little hidern gem. The grandkids loved it, blackberry picking the late berries.
