Myself and a couple of friends from London, UK were looking for a late September getaway that would provide a little break from our hectic city lives. We are passionate hikers and love the outdoors, so were looking for a remote wilderness holiday somewhere. Quetico Provincial Park was highly recommended by a friend originally from Thunder Bay, so we thought... More

I just love this place. I drive from Florida every year for a week of solitude and adventure. If you don't want to work a bit, don't come. It is hard work, but rewarding.

Quetico is a totally primitive canoe trekking park. No words or pictures can do it justice. Pristine, Solitude, phenomenal fishing are just a few attempts at describing what you can find here. But, it is NOT for the Faint of Heart. You must have an experienced Trekker prepare you before you go.

This place is wonderful and has so much you can do. The trick bike park was out of this world for my son (Age 11). All ages can trick bike there no problem. My son went from beginner to really feeling a sense of accomplishment after half an hour to an hour. The paths are lovely. You can ride a... More

We arrived on a Thursday...hoping to get a lake-side campsite and stay for the weekend. The first night we had a pull through) - it was ok... but really lacked any privacy. It was very hard to get into with our 30' RV + towing a vehicle. We were very fortunate that a lake-side lot became available for our next... More

The Quetico should advertise it's self as the first water park. Beautiful scenery and backcountry solitude. The character building hard work is free.

Test your mettle by doing something out of the way and out of the ordinary. You might find portaging and canoeing are the way to vacation.

Take your kids, they will never forget it. Life is too full of phones, computers and video. Get real again - not a virtual vacation.

Spent a very challenging and rewarding canoe trip thru the park (10 days/9 nights). We covered 80 miles and everyday was an adventure. The water is crystal clear and nary a scrap of trash anywhere (thank goodness for all the fellow "leave no trace" campers before us). Wild blue berries and fish are everywhere. Leave ALL your 21st century devices... More
