Great underground cenote. Kids loved it. They just wanted to keep swimming and not get out the water. We were looking for an underground cave sink hole (cenote) not too crowded and close to the Chichen Itza - Valladolid - Playa road. This is a...More

We came here as part of the YucaTreks tour to Chichen Itza and Valladolid. It was the second stop on our tour and much needed after spending several hours in the blazing sun, heat and humidity of Chichen Itza. The cenote was very clean and...More

We visited the cenotes on our own. We took a ferry from Isla Mujeres to Cancun, jumped on a Ado to Vallodolid, then booked a tour, after getting a cab catering rides to the Cenotes site. We were there on May 3, 2017. We paid...More

If you only go to one cenote, make it xkeken . We have done a few but the stalagmites, tree roots and fish make this the best. Better than Samuels next door (our guide book had them back to front). Not an expensive taxi ride...More

We went late in the day - about 5 pm - and there were no crowds. Just 20 or so - with maybe 15 swimmers. I really liked it. Jamie was nervous about bacteria in the water. You should try at least one cenote. 🐟🏊🎯

we visited Xkeken and Samula cenotes since they are next to each other; it is worth to pay the $125 pesos to visit both. They are both different and gorgeous!!

You can pay a little extra and get access to both cenotes. Given how little it is, it's worth seeing them given it's in the middle of no where. Both were nice but I was little disappointed you couldn't jump in any of them. Secondly,...More

Cool place. Fresh clear water. Liked it, it needs a bit more security for kids and maintenance. It's a really nice experience, worth the time.

I'm still giving this a great rating although some aspects are horrible. But good things first: both cenotes are beautiful and offer seldom seen swimming experience in natural caves. In one of them there's enough room to spread your towel and relax for a while...More

It says 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Not sure how tightly they adhere to that. Seems like we were there a bit later than 5:00 pm and no one kicked us out.
