Punta de Mita...gorgeous! We went there for the day...we took a drive from Nuevo Vallarta. It was worth it! I think it has the most beautiful beach in Nayarit. We stopped to take pictures and had a few drinks at some bistro on the beach. Any bar/bistro is great...just have a drink...,and watch the view of this beautiful beach.

The water was much nicer here than anywhere else in Puerta Vallarta Area. Beach very small. They only rent plastic chairs that sit up. Rent them from locals including an umbrella. No beach loungers. Uncomfortable. Waves were nice. A lot of surfers, or actually paddle boarders using boards to surf. Lot's of boats to look at. Nice little fisherman village... More

We had dinner late afternoon here. Good spot with a great view of the beach and the bay. You can have a tasty filet mignon here for 200 pesos believe it or not ( $ 10). Service was great and the entire meal was quite enjoyable. Also serves Mexican and Seafood cuisine.

The water in December was calm and great for paddle boarding. Water was clean and refreshing after hot day. Closer to shore there was decent boogie-boarding for kids. In the morning beach was empty while filling up in the afternoon. Occasionally surf increased to allow for paddle surfing. Sand stretches for miles which is nice but watch out for rocks... More

This is "the" beach in Punta de Mita. A couple miles of white sand beach stretching the northern length of the Bay of Banderas looking southward to PV which is 30 miles away. Several restaurants along the beach. Good beginner surf when there is a swell.

I was really looking forward to dining at El Anclote. Is was looking forward to their Pescado Zarandeado. Unfortunately the fish fell well short of my expectations. We also had a shrimp cocktail which was not very good. The service was good, but the food is not. I do not recommend this restaurant when in Punta de Mita.

Nice people, good food, but fairly standard fare. Wait staff tries a little too hard, which is no fault of their own, but perhaps a little training would help.

We've had lunch here several times. Menu, kitchen and service are excellent, as well as the location. Anclote is on an pebble beach, boats for Marietas Islands depart only a few steps away. During low season, staff at Anclote will take care of your belongings while you take the tour.

cute little place in Punta Mita. There is public access to the beach right next to Hotel Cinco. The break there is super gentle, it is dubbed "Mexican Malibu", but for it to happen, the swell has to be 3-5 ft at Punta Burros.
