Several times we went through this building to only find one or two shops open. They seemed as touristy as any on the plaza. This building seems to have a great advertising agency because we saw posters and adverts for it everywhere, but little to keep us there once we went.

A former convent, this is now full of shops and galleries. It is a great place to explore. The shops are full of locally made items, some of them very reasonably priced. The building itself is lovely and very well maintained.

Fantastic collection of connected courtyards with numerous charming shops offering wonderful goods at rock bottom prices - copper, linen, woodwork, hand painting, jewelry etc etc - loved it

One of the occasional problems with getting into sites in Mexico is accessibility. Casa de los Once is a pretty place to visit and it's more easily accessible than most places. Many of the shops are not open until later in the day so we saw just a few of them. These artisans seemed to be focused on textiles. Wandering through the shops was pleasant and colourful. The buildings are easy on the eyes and invite a casual stroll.

We absolutely loved Casa delos Once Patios! If you enjoy watching talented artisans at work, learning how they make their crafts, and purchasing them at affordable prices, in an unbelievably airy, green, historic setting, do not miss a visit. It is the old Convent of St. Catherine, built in the mid-1700s, with only 4 of the original 11 patios remaining. Gorgeous gardens and architecture, and room after room of artisan studios and shops.

A former convent, originally with 11 patios, now apparently with 5, although it is difficult to count them. Beautiful colonial architecture, including a Baroque bathing house built for a princess, it is now converted into an art and craft centre. On the lower level are shops selling beautiful examples of local crafts, especially Michoacán lacquer and textiles. On the upper floors you can meet some of the artists and craftspeople and see them working. Entrance is free and you can wander at leisure, enjoying the buildings, the crafts and a taste of former times. Perhaps best to arrive after 12:00 to find more of the shops open, especially during the week. A great place to find an unusual souvenir or present.

We spent a pleasant half hour wandering around admiring al teh beautiful handicrafts on show here without feeling pressured or harassed by the vendors. Our days of collecting memorabilia from travels are over but you could pick up some beautiful items here of you wanted to.

A must see if in this town! Full of beautiful artesian crafts. We found many treasures with Dona Bertha on the second floor! Wonderful Embordoring all from a comunidad of ladies! Incredible really. Lots of woodworking, metal works, handmade guitars, candles and much more! Also has a very old bathing area used by the monks.

Fun shopping for crafts but we did not buy anything. Nice setting with gardens and flowers. We liked walking around, and went twice.

Trip advisor wants me to write more to submit this review but I can't think of anything.
