About
Second generation winery of the Ejido El Porvenir in the Valle de Guadalupe. It started as a dream of the Pérez Castro family (owners of La Lomita) to honor the Virgin of the Vineyards. It is the wine venture with the first certified organic vineyard in Mexico. La Carrodilla proposes a new way of making wine, through organic farming and biodynamic practices; a proposal for agricultural sustainability. We intend to open doors for sustainable agriculture, where care for the environment and respect for the same govern the way of making wine, adding to these different elements such as neatness, selection and meticulous care in the winemaking process. This and many more elements, result, almost inevitably in quality wine.

We were very disappointed that the website told us that the winery was a special biodynamic/organic vineyard. So we made a reservation. We paid $60 US dollars for two tastings of only 3 small pours of wine. And afterwards we were told it was the commercial wine, not grown on the estate and not organic!!!! There was no good information to know any of this ahead of time from the website. This was a really shocking high price for a very low quality wine and such a tiny amount too!! There was nothing offered like a winery tour or some food for this astonishing price either!! If they were more honest we would have come & simply ordered a bottle of organic wine for a lessor cost!! We literally got almost nothing for $60!! Such a waste! We will advise all of our friends to skip this place because, although it has a pretty view, you pay more than any place we’ve been in Napa or Sonoma. You also won’t need much time there, you will just sip your 3 small pours, pay them a ton of $$$ and then be finished in less than 30 minutes! Also it is good to know that if you make a reservation and change your mind you will be charged, so once our driver told us we may like other spots more we couldn’t get out of the reservation.

We wanted to consume 1-2 bottles in a group of 4 and we were told the second floor was just for tastings
Of course they earn more money on this model
We were going to try on the first floor as we were told but was very hot , so we left

Came here without reservations, was told ok depends who shows for their reservations. 5 min later”you have a table” less than 2 min later, I’m so sorry the people who have reservation are taking The table. A few confusing combos later, we have a “bar area” and no on e serving us. Waitresses was super apologetic, but still, need better organization, communication and seating (seriously only 10 tables? You’re a winery, have more especially if you have no tasting area). That be ing said, the Sauvignon blanc and merlot were so good we got bottles of both. Honestly, has we been hungry the charcuterie looked bomb! I would recommend, especially bc the grounds are so gorgeous but definitely have reservations

This winery (and the valley) is confused about its identity. It thinks that it is a world class winery, but it does a poor job of trying to pull that off. The first challenge was trying to get down one of the roughest dirt roads I’ve been on. Then, signage to find the place was terrible, we got lost and had to go in the gate where it says employees only. Once you get to the tasting room, good luck finding a sign that tells you that you’re in the right place. We finally walked in to where there are employees, they looked in the computer and couldn’t find our reservation. After we started getting stressed, they told us we should check upstairs. We walked upstairs and finally it was confirmed that they did have our reservation, but they didn’t have a table for us, yet. They asked us to start our tasting at a large table, and then we would have to move. It was extremely windy and uncomfortable. The wine glass almost got blown off the table. The wines were lousy and the cheese plate too. They told us they had a great salami, but oops, they ran out. Instead we had crumbly chorizo which was too spicy and too fatty to enjoy the tasting, what a shame. All in all, I would avoid this place at all costs, it’s not for the American tourist, only for the locals.

This place was not among the top places to visit in Valle, however I’m glad we visited! It’s a beautiful venue and the wine is among my favorite now! Customer service is excellent. You will not regret visiting La Finca. The wine is organic; also, they have their own cows that produce milk and it’s used for their delicious cajeta. They also have a vegetable garden and make good quality pesto sauce. All food items can be purchased at their coffee shop. I love love this place!!

Fantastic wine, epic views and scenery. Even the cheese board was out of this world. We can't wait to return, especially for the In Situ!

Our visit to this lovely rooftop terrace garden kicked off our Thanksgiving holiday in style. We tasted 3 organic wines, each one with subtle notes and delightful with the paired appetizers. Our server knew his wine, very professional staff. Scenic views of the vineyards, a small church and the surrounding hills.

Beautiful winery with stunning views. Lovely service and delicious wines to try! We had a great host who explained all the wines to us and a bit more about the winery itself.

Every thing was excellent. From the roof top tasting terrace, to the wine, to the service and the bread with homemade pesto, this was our last stop for the day and we were approaching sunset. The views are incredible, the vibe was chill and everything we tried we bought to take home. It is a most stop when in Valle!
