I love going with my grandchildren. It's nice to see them enjoy and take interest in the history and to have hands on experience with some of the displays . Over the years my children have enjoyed various events and now my grandchildren. It's also great for hosting many other events . The gift shop is also a great place... More

It is a very nice indoor museum that feels like you are outdoor. I probably spent more than half a day. Lots of Saskatchewan history that helped me appreciate farmers even more!!! Higley recommend to families with older children. I bought a day ticket but was able to visit again next day for free.

Attended a staff function in December 2016, and the set up was gorgeous, food was great, and servers were friendly. Definitely recommend for an event :)

My friend and I came to the wdm as a last minute plan..little did we know this weekend was the annual 'Those Were the Days' event. We loved it! The museum was filled with people and the volunteers were dressed up as people from the early 1900s - mid 1900s. The outdoor town site is a definite must see!

The Western Development Museum is really impressive and a great way to spend a few hours while in North Battleford. The grounds are huge with so many buildings to see and make your way through. They have a great collection of farm machinery! I wish there would have been some staff around the grounds to give some insight to some... More

This is a location to do in the summer to go through the outdoor exhibits. The homes on this site were our favourite. Very nice examples of turn of the century homes. This site is well taken care of and we will be back again. The indoor exhibits have a lot of information as well. We would recommend an audio... More

I've always lived the set up at this museum - from the street lined with businesses to the old houses and churches ... it's like stepping back in time.
