One of the most picturesque places I've ever been. Went for a hike in the trails - not the easiest trail to get through - quite a steep slope. So many beautiful scenes - waterfalls, rivers, wooden bridges ... Great workout on the way back...More

It was a nice experience to look out across the villages and bay below. Probably the first time I ever saw a parking lot with about the same slope to it as the road up the mountain...interesting. Got some great pictures. They didn't seem to...More

This is a short drive up the mountain behind Carleton. You can go up and back down in less than 30 minutes, or spend the day hiking. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, with a windmill farm behind and the Baie des Chaleurs...More

Paved road all the way up to the top (555 metres or 1820 feet) above Carleton-sur-Mer. Admission fee just before the parking lot. Once parked there are boardwalks and decks with information boards in French and English. The view is spectacular! There are also hiking...More

Drove the 555 metres up to the Oratoire. Beautiful look-out of Carleton sur Mer and Baie des Chaleurs. There are hiking trails leading to other lookouts, windmills and beautiful views. Don't miss going inside the Oratoire. The chapel is beautiful and ornate. There are also...More

This is a great observation point. We arriveed late in the afternoon and enjoyed the view of the village and the bay. The drive up was not as difficult as some would suggest. Driving down was no problem with a lower gear selected to reduce...More

Even for non-Catholics (as we are) this is a must-see site if you are touring the Gaspe (as long as your vehicle is up to the climb - our 2011 Kia started to smell very warm by the time we got to the top). we...More

Very nice place to go. I always love it, the view is just amazing. You almost forget that there is other people there around you. You have hiking trail if you'd like to go on a little walk, if not just enjoy the scenery!
