I couldn't believe my 5 year old son wasnt allowed to wear floaties. I understand all the boogie boards and big floaties not being allowed. But he wanted to jump with his floaties on. I seen no big deal.

Loved our visit to Basin Head this year. The beach is reminiscent of the amazing beaches in the Caribbean but instead of white sand you get dramatic red sand. The drift down the mini river is cool and must be experienced if you visit PEI....More

White Sand beach with ample parking and beautiful boardwalk. The water was wavy when we were there and many purplish jelly fish. Our youngest was stung and the lifeguard recommended to apply wet sand to the sting. It seemed to work, she didn't mention it...More

The beach is beautiful. The sand is nice. Jumping from the bridge or just floating through canal was a ton of fun. Lifeguards present. There are changing rooms and places to eat if you want. Loved it.

This is a really nice beach with plenty of amenities. I should say that the day we were there was quite busy. We prefer a quieter beach, but we really wanted to hear the singing sands. If you walk down the beach away from the...More

We loved our trip to Basin Head. There were several lifeguards on duty. The beach was gorgeous and clean. There was plenty of space. The little restaurant had plenty of options and we especially enjoyed the chicken fingers and fries. There was an inlet with...More

This is probably the most gorgeous beach I have ever seen (and I've 'been around'!). The water is clean and the sand is like baby powder - soft, fluffy and white. I couldn't hear the singing though! The area right around the bridge can get...More
