The sign out near the road is true: it's the best place to eat in Cavendish! We were pleased to find a baked potato place, Dave's Lobster, Anne of Green Gables Chocolates, a donut shop, COWS ice cream and some little shops. The lobster roll...More

Stumbled on this looking for dinner. Really cute concept. Has a feel of a village with gravel street and concrete sidewalks with white picket fences. Includes a church also. Mostly food places, a gift shop or 2 and a clothing store. Fun just to eat...More

We went hoping to see sights of Avonlea and instead all of the buildings have been converted to art stores or restaurants; most of which were closed for the season when we went in early September. The gift shop was even a let down.

Very nice reenactment of the Avonlea village. Various shops located within the buildings as well! Showcasing beautiful art and food!!

We arrived 1.5 hours prior to the close of the season. We shopped a bit, and I was able to take pictures of the location without a lot of others around. The area is nice, but the shoppes aren't much different than other shops on...More

great stop while exploring Cavendish, there are a couple restaurant choices and a couple shops. There is lots of parking and it wasn't over crowded. Our favorites were the chocolate shop and Cows ice cream. Would be a great stop for a large group if...More

We decided to pop in because they had a sign touting their location as "The best place to eat in PEI". It is not!! This place is a tourist trap at best. I imagine at another time of day, the place would be filled with...More

Cute little place. And it is small- maybe 14 buildings? But they could do so much more with it and apparently there used to be more. Now it's pretty much just restaurants inside of each building

This has become a commercial site of restaurants and stores. The charm of the original site with characters and spots is gone and has been replaced with expensive restaurants. Was hoping to show my little one the village and see the animals and school house...More

This is a cute place to shop, eat or get an ice cream if you are in the area. The buildings look like what Avonlea could have looked like. It's free to park and no entrance fee. If you are visiting the Green Gables Heritage...More

I can not say for sure but I don't think we saw any when we were there. It is possible they would be allowed as someone could stay outside with them at all times while others go into the buildings but I would try to call or... More

I am sorry but we did not pay attention to the off road trails by the lodge. However, there is a trail that goes along the ocean and we did see lots of bikers all over. I would maybe suggest contacting the tourist... More
