My Wife had to see this place and read the books when she was a young girl. She had a nice time as did my daughter and son who learned a lot about life in the old days. Some nice walking paths are on site too. Check it out!

We went there since many people asked if we planned to visit when they learned we were going to cavendish. Unless you have a parks canada annual pass so you can get in for free or an AGG fan go spend the time at the beautiful beach.

We really enjoyed going here and visiting the property. It was so neat especially if you grew up reading the books!

The Green Gables National Historic Site is a MUST for fans of Anne of Green Gables and/or Lucy Maud Montgomery. You enter through a small information center which hold fascinating facts and artifacts about L.M. Montgomery and a short video introducing you to Green Gables. You then exit the doors and come to the barn which has information about farm... More

None of us in our group of four gave a 'cats meow' about Anne of Green Gables. The objective was to tick the box so that we could answer in the affirmative when we got home to the inevitable question 'did you go?' For seniors it only cost us $10.80 between us. This is the location in Cavendish not the... More

My wife and I visited Green Gables earlier this month whilst on a coach tour of New England and the Canadian Maritimes. Whilst we only had about 1 1/2 hours here (that really isn't long enough) it was a very enjoyable visit. For those who know the story, the house is clearly of interest. I didn't, but the house is... We enjoyed the Anne style in Green Gables house and gardens. Interesting to see the 'Haunted Wood' and 'Lovers Lane'. Gift shop was well stocked with expensive novelty tack!

Nice to walk around the house and see how things used to be on PEI. There are lots of trails to take a walk on on the grounds. Also there is a short film if you don't know the story about Anne and her creator Lucy Maude Montgomery.

We toured Green Gables on our own during a recent trip to PEI. The home, grounds and park are very well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. It was mid October (almost off season) and the leaves were just turning beautiful colors. The staff had plenty of time to share the history of the farm and LM Montgomery's life.... More

I have not read any of tghe Anne of Green Gables books and so it is hard to review. However, as I watched the reactions of others who apparently read the books, it clearly was very good for them. The barn, ground, presented information and the house were very nice. Based upon my reaction: go if you know the author... More
