Went there for dinner seated quickly. Introductory staff and waitress very professional. Went downhill after that. The meal was below expectation based on the menu description and the wine although very good way too pricey. They seem to think that their menu is far superlative to everyone else when in fact the price is above everyone else the menu so so!

Were we under dressed? The people in front of us were seated but no one spoke to us. My husband eventually walked in past the desk and found someone. We were refused a table because the kitchen couldn’t handle 6 more people but we were offered take out. ??That made no sense.
We questioned them about this and were told that they were unable to seat anyone after 7:30. It wasn’t 7:30 yet. The couple in front of us were seated. We had children with us but there was a children’s menu and our children are really well behaved.
After travelling all day, hungry, and now refused service we left - walking past empty tables and newly arriving patrons. We were so looking forward to really good food after travelling so far. I am still flabbergasted. I’ve never been turned away before for any reason!

We loved visiting here. There is a huge array of local art. Clothing, woodworking, ceramics, fine art, custom made furniture, sculptures, and much more.
Prices can be inexpensive or high depending on what you’re looking for. If a person had the disposal income, they could drop $30-40,000 very quickly.
If you venture into the rear of the property you will find an amazing and serene garden area. Many wooden, stone and cement sculptures dot the landscape. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around.

A beautiful place with very unusual furniture and artifacts from all over the world. The price is upscale but the unique and beautiful furniture and souvenirs are worth the visit and the price. The small cafe is also very unique and the food is excellent with a good price point for the beauty of the dunes.

Such a great find on the way to Brackley beach. Pulled into the lot to get coffee and was so surprised to experience the gallery and the stunning Balinese gardens. We went back today for lunch and very much enjoyed.

This gem of a place ,captivates you from the moment you step inside the doors. The beauty of the art that is displayed inside was beyond amazing ,and as you step out into the garden at the back ,there are no words to adequately describe how beautiful and peaceful it is.

We should have given our names right away at the cafe and then proceeded to browse the beautiful grounds and shops. There is lots of fabulous artwork to admire and purchase...by the time we investigated lunch, the wait was going to be an hour. So we did not wait. However, we were very glad we visited and are tickled pink with our purchases.

Full of interesting gifts, pictures, and carvings. Food was excellent, particularly the pad Thai. Service was poor though. Would recommend if you are in area, but don’t make a special trip.

We were thrilled with our meal at The Dunes. The rack of lamb was simply outstanding. Perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender and full of flavour. The Thai curry was equally good, every bite seemed to have a different ingredient and this made for a very interesting meal. We shared the carrot cake for dessert which was very good. With a carafe of wine and a beer, the bill was around 130$. The meal really was fabulous and I highly recommend The Dunes. Service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Restaurant is clean and well appointed.
Reservations are not always necessary but I would reccomend that you have one to avoid disappointment.
The gardens outside are stunning and well worth a visit before or after your meal.
The gallery is filled with interesting things but much of the stock is very expensive and unless you have lots of disposable income, you may, like me, find it out of your price range. Fun to look, though!
