Far enough from the City to make a trip out of it but close enough to make it convenient. Went with some friends and their kids for Maple Syrup festival. I liked what they had setup (Pioneer station, modern station) but I felt like they could have done a few more things (e.g. classic toffee station -pour syrup on crushed... More

We live nearby so we often go hiking here. It is now March break so fun to see maple syrup being made the old fashioned way. Over the years, some of the trials have been closed, including the marsh walk, due to washed out bridges and safety issues. I hope that these trails will reopen at some point.Otherwise, a good... There are 3 main trails to take if you are hiking: Forest, Marsh, and the Power Trip. Forest and Marsh are typical dirt trails, but nothing too difficult. Power Trip is flat and is more of an educational loop rather than a hiking trail. Parts of the trails can get icy and slippery in winter, so do don proper foot... More

We've been to Kortright a few times. Great place for hiking. They have a maple syrup festival every fall which is fun but busy. Dog friendly with scenic trails, try going in the fall to soak in the fall foliage and colours.

My group and I had a blast when we visited Kortright for the Maple Syrup Festival. Although it was a bit chilly, we had a fantastic time learning how maple sap is converted to maple syrup. We saw the old and the new processes. We got to sample the syrup and also purchased the yummy pancakes. After this, we went... More

I lived in Maple, ON for 7 years and this was in my backyard the whole time and I never went! I'm kicking myself now because look how beautiful this place was, and this is in the fall! This is a beautiful site and perfect for a wedding. The venue is a natural setting for an outdoor wedding. The dinner venue is also amazing - although it is not large. The food was delicious.

I was at .Centennial Park in Toronto yesterday and gave it a five star rating.. This place is completely different in what it offers but offers things to do in the great outdoors as well. Lot's of property to explore and has a knowledgeable staff to answer any questions concerning both the outdoors plus nature. In fact, I knew a... More

What a beautiful property. The main building with a small gift shop and restrooms is well maintained and air conditioned. The various nature walks are ecosystem based meaning you can explore the ecosystems of woods versus ponds. There are lots of trail side activities for the kids. A wonderful outing. Not bad in light rain as long as you are... More
