It';s an OK little town museum. Nothing to write home about. A few interesting facts, but it's not something I would regularly visit.

Went on Canada Day, displays were bright, well laid out, informative and interesting. Some displays on second floor may not be accessible to those using wheelchairs

The museum is a wonderful piece of Ottawa Valley history from logging on the Ottawa River to the old railway station and many years in between. There are special displays throughout the year including All about Owls, Monarch butterflies and a wonderful Quilt display, recently there as been added a casting of the tallest White Pine (located in Gillies Grove... An excellent way to discover the history of the Arnprior area. The museum has a couple of floors of exhibits and more areas are being opened up. This is a much better than average local museum with innovative displays and some very interesting and unique items. It is an often overlooked gem.

I stopped into this museum while traveling the Ottawa Valley and found this museum was full of Arnprior and area history. It is not a large museum but it is interesting and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The museum is located in what was formerly an early 20th century post office which in itself is an historic, sandstone and architecturally interesting building. The museum is a most interesting journey of a town that was in its time one of the commercial centres of the beautiful Ottawa Valley. The narratives, exhibits and artifacts are excellent and most informatively... More
