Take a picnic go for a swim or walk on the shore to collect items from the beach. Lyons club offers a free shuttle back and forth.
We could not visit the island but took some great pictures. Its a tiny but very cute lighthouse. Pier walk on the Baddeck side is very good.
We did not have time to visit the Kidston Island Lighthouse but we took some great photos of it from a distance. We will certainly stop and visit it on our next trip, which will be in the fall of 2017.
Obviously the light house is lovely. However, using a few angles and props from the area create a real masterpiece. For example, the best overall picture angle we found was to go to the Bell Museum on the hill, lie down uphill from the bright...More
Such a beautiful view. Never got close to it but it is in alot of my pictures. Would have loved to visit it. Next time it will be my first visit
Even if you don't make the trip to the lighthouse, you can still enjoy and easily photograph it from the wharf. Evening is a great time to photograph it and the boats in the harbor. The lighting is great and constantly changes providing no end...More

This beach is a ferry ride of 5 minutes from the marina in Baddeck. The ride is free but donations are appreciated. There are minimal facilities at the beach, along with four covered picnic tables. Its a nice sand beach, and you can walk around...More
