This is a must for people of a certain age, especially if you come from the area. I lived in Newfoundland for just 6 months as a child and there were things here that I remember. The store is fascinating. The couple show you around and tell you interesting facts. They have done a really good job building up this... More

A wonderful collection of artifacts from the past. Must be visited to appreciate! It recaptures an old way of life that is forgotten in most Newfoundland communities now. See things that maybe you remember from your childhood, or hear your parents or grandparents talk about! Don't miss it!

Loved to fall back into my childhood! You can make this 5 minutes or an hour. Just touching all the old things was amazingly nostalgic. Whenever someone comes to NL, I try to fit this in.

Worth taking the time to visit especially if you are interested in the history of the Carbonear/Harbour Grace/Freshwater/Victoria/Salmon Cove area. Hundreds of pictures of the area, old school year books, a general store that takes you back in time. The root cellar is constructed beautifully and really shows how much work was involved in sustaining a family through the winter... More
