Quite a unique lighthouse - even in the off season, it’s worth the drive out to Bonavista. The views from the lighthouse are spectacular.

This is a beautiful lighthouse that you can go into and look around at all of the interesting displays. Be sure to climb up to the actual lights and reflectors (it is steep and narrow and watch your head!). It is so interesting to hear...More

It’s worth the trip driving up to the tip of the Bonavista Peninsula to visit the Lighthouse, and enjoy the scenery in the area. The ocean view was spectacular. It’s a fantastic location for whale watching. We spotted two pods of whales, on two sides...More

We were there the last day of the season, a lucky break. The docents were very knowledgeable and helpful. The scenery is truly awesome.

Be prepared for wind. The admit fee also lets you in to Mockbeggar, which is also something you should see. The tour guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour. Do climb the stairs to see the light.

This is a place with great historic significance: the first landing by explorer John Cabot. The small interpretation centre is very well done. Of course, the views are spectacular. Be prepared for high winds.

A quick stop as we didn't pay the extra fee to go into the lighthouse. It was a different lighthouse as house & light are one. Pretty area around lighthouse to explore.

The weather wasn't cooperating with our plans to visit the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse. But that didn't prevent us from a wonderful time touring the historic building with a wonderful young lady that explained all history of the building and the artifacts on display there. Then...More

The Parks employees are in the keeper's house and answer questions visitors have after looking into the various rooms. We did not have a guided tour, but looked at the various rooms at our own pace. We found the keeper's... More
