Went here and it was very educational. And we didn't have to pay it's all by donation. The kids loved that you could use the type writer. The only thing that I wish that it was a bit bigger but it was still very fun!...More

This tiny museum is absolutely packed cheek-to-jowl with artifacts without seeming cluttered. The locally significant displays start right inside the door an continue in a small circular tour with a couple of minute rooms offside that feature special exhibits. If you want to know the history of the local area, just ask the volunteers. They are so helpful. My questions about the quarry and the original highway routing were answered brilliantly.

If you don't visit this museum you're missing out. What a place, possibly the most well displayed museum I have ever been to. Great work by all the volunteers who make this place the jewel of Shawnigan

Went to this museum 10mins before closing time but the operators were happy to have us take our time before they closed which was very nice of them. Lots of lovely old photos of shawnigan lake and interesting information from the friendly guides.
