Elephant Island began as a family haven, a place of summer picnics, orchard adventures and magical holidays on the Naramata Bench. Today the elephant has grown into a 6,000 case winery driven to craft wines of character. Wines that sing with the unconventional voice of vanguard fruit. Wines that are balanced by a reverence for traditional winemaking practices. Wines that are rooted and inspired by family history.

This winery has my heart. It's one winery that I keep coming back to, year after year. There is something about it that makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale. Possibly because of the cuter than cute winery store or the idyllic...More

This place is adorable and has a great ambiance but we are red wine drinkers. We didn't realize that it is all fruit wines. Refreshing for a hot day but just warmth what we were expecting.

We really enjoyed visiting Elephant Island. The service was fantastic, with friendly, helpful and attentive staff offering table service. We sat in the outside garden surrounded by fruit tree orchards. Wine tastings are free all day, which was a change from most of the other...More

This was one of the wineries I really wanted to try on our circuit since I'm not big on traditional wines. I was driving, so I didn't do my own tasting, but I took sips of my boyfriend's wines and I liked every single thing...More

We stopped in at this winery and found that all the wines are very unique. They are more fruit based wines than just grapes. They were very flavourful and very interesting. A great place to sit and have a glass of wine

The wines made here all from fermented fruits other than grapes. The tastes are interesting and worth sampling, but it did not really meet our criteria. Fun to stop and sample. Quaint little winery surrounded by orchards with a lovely little patio.

It was a delight visiting this winery after reading the history of it in Schreiner's "Okanagan Wine Tour" guide. We were looking for a nice wine to pair with salad and we were happy with the Pear wine. They sell unique gifts in their tasting...More
