I visited here on my way back from Radium Hot Springs, just after checking out the Verdant creek trail ( even though it was technically closed, probably due to the Verdant Creek Fire, there were large trees down over the trail, I highly recommend checking...More

We had seen older reviews mentioning the bridge to the falls was washed out. On our way from Radium Hot springs to Canmore, we decided to stop and hopefully see the falls. The sign at the end of the parking lot/start of the trail advises...More

June had washed out the falls, with debris and a whole new riverbank being forged for miles. We were alone save for a Raven who told us all about it.

It's too bad the bridge has not been restored yet, as not only does it provide for better views of these interesting falls, but it has cut off important access to hikers into the backcountry. But still, with so very little development in the park,...More

You have to a do a little navigating to get a good vantage point of the falls themselves, but it's totally worth it. There are so many little gems like this all over the drive in the mountains. Love it.
