The RIVER SAFARI is an unforgettable and awe-inspiring one hour ride...

The RIVER SAFARI is an unforgettable and awe-inspiring one hour ride through Grizzly Bear Valley, located in the picturesque Monashee Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. In the heart of the world's only inland temperate rainforest, our specially designed, eco-friendly boats will voyage through the mountains' glaciers & jade-coloured waters in search of bear, moose, eagle and osprey, only a few of the magnificent creatures we see during this breathtaking Canadian wilderness experience! You can also join us for an incredible Jeep Safari, we take passengers on our 4*4 off-road Jeeps for another "Amazing Hour" to the mountains' peaks! Experience first hand the intimate adventure of seeing, touching and tasting the foods and habitat of the bears in this unique rainforest. Combine your hour on the River with our Jeep adventure for a SUPER SAFARI! Duration is approximately 2.5 hours.

We booked with River cruises as our bear count had been unsatisfactory ( only one sighting). First disappointment was to be told that despite featuring prominently on their posters, we were very unlikely to see a grizzly. We went on the boat ride first. We found one black bear and nothing else. Most of the time was spent doing high... More

Dear Gavin B, Thank you for sharing your feedback on both of our tours. We apologize that the River Safari did not satisfy your expectations, unfortunately and fortunately there are 10 times as many black bears as there are Grizzlies, so although we do see Grizzlies from time to time, it's far more common for us to spot a black... If you're travelling from Jasper to Kamloops/Vancouver area(or the other way around) this place is a MUST GO !!! It's right in the middle between Jasper and Kamloops on the Highway 5. We were recommended by Sandie from the Lakeview in Clearwater. What a treat, we were soon taken on a jet boat down river and saw bears within a few minutes. Great views of the mountains. Scenery, bears, waterfalls and very knowledgable staff, what could be better.

We did this on recommendation from Mt Robson visitor centre staff. Despite horrid rainy day this trip was fantastic and well worthwhile. Lots of equipment to keep you warm and dry with them like jackets waterproof jackets rain ponchos and blankets. Even if you didn't see bear the trip on the water itself is into stunning scenery and waterfall was... More

We stopped on the way from Jasper to Clearwater as the signs advertising it looked good. We booked the river boat tour as we did not have time to do both. The boat trip was really good, our guide Zak was great as well. We spotted a black bear and got some fabulous photos, thanks

We have travelled 5 continents over the past two years and this river safari still ranks as the best thing we have done on our travels - better than skydiving, bungeeing, rafting, you name it. Me and my girlfriend went with our family and we all gave it a 10/10. I can't remember our guides name (young blonde guy -... More
