This museum may be on the smaller side, but it has lots to see and do. The entire basement is dedicated to a children size house, school and yard of days gone by. It is all hand on. Your children will spend hours here. They...More

The museum is by donation so the cost is definitely fair. They do not have a large space to work with and display mostly average small town stuff. Their displays are decent and the staff are very helpful generally. The downstairs historical play rooms for...More

A place to learn and for children of all ages to learn and have fun. On the lower floor there is a place for children to dress up and play like they did years ago, so it gives an adult time to not rush through.

An excellent display of the city's history has been created and is very well done. Many historical exhibits are so interesting to view. The building is a historical entity in itself so a must see.

By looking at the building you would not expect this museum to be to much. Wrong! It is full of interesting exhibits that are well displayed and described.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! We love the surprise on people's faces when they see how much we have inside our little treasure box of a building. Hope you will come back again soon.

Located in a historic building in downtown Wetaskiwin, the Wetaskiwin and District Heritage Museum is well laid out in themes with many interesting and valuable artifacts. What makes it unique is the 'kids' play area.

Went there for a school field trip. Did a scavenger hunt for info on stuff in the museum (Very Fun!). Needs an upgrade to put more exhibits. Everything else is good. Will definitely go there again.

If you want to learn about the history of Wetaskiwin, this is a great smaller museum to stop by. In downtown Wetaskiwin and close to restaurants.
