We visited the museum in August 2016. The memorabilia was excellent and the Heartland display was incredible. The staff were helpful and overall a great experience

Heard about this museum having a Heartland TV Show display, had to see it. Nice museum with a lot of displays on the film industry in the High River area. Will go back next summer.

This small town museum is very charming. The decor is warm and welcoming. History of the Town and information of the TV series, Heartland can be found here.

This museum is different from what you would expect. We thought it would be about the history of High River, but it focuses on the movies that were filmed in the area. It is not a large museum but it is interesting.

We did an overnight trip from Calgary to High river and read that the Museum of the Highwood is this small town's top little attraction. It was a bit hard to get to because of all the road closures and detours in town - they are redoing some roads and streets etc. - I am presuming it was because of... More

Was suggested to visit the museum while checking it Maggie's from the CBC series Heartland and I am glad we did. It had many articles from shows that have been filmed using the area as a setting and the lady that was at the desk was very pleasant to chat with showing pride in the filming activity in the area.

Neat little place right in downtown. It was interesting to learn that there is quite a bit of film and tv production in the area. There is a box for donations but no admission fee.

Beautifully restored old railway terminal building. The staff are excellent and really can answer any questions on the history of High River and surrounding area. Excellent displays that change frequently.

Centrally located in High River, quaint and lovely old building. When we were there they also had a good display of things used in various movies that have been filmed in the area. Well done with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very nice gift store as well. Admission is free but a donation is appreciated. Free parking.

This Museum is an excellent source for lovers of history and those that love "Heartland" the TV series....the staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area and have tons of "Heartland Memorablia"...a great little side trip if traveling south of Calgary.
