Visiting Villa Widmann can be done as part of a boat tour on the river Brenta, but we elected the less expensive way through traveling in our own car. Plenty of parking space along the lane to the right of the villa grounds. Majestic buildings and a large garden with outhouses and a statue garden. Classic layout of the Venetian Villa grounds. Cosy Italian bar offering indoor and outdoor seating, good coffee and tasty cake in the large gallery. Interesting rooms in the main villa building. Buildings and grounds well maintained and inviting. Entrance for a fee. Summary: visit recommended, plan the best part of half a day.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The park was very interesting to wander around past statues and shady trees. We found the interior was fascinating with lots of interesting features, including Murano chandeliers, glassware, costumes and furniture. It was very pleasant eating lunch on the terrace with very friendly hosts. Highly recommend.

I saw this villa as part of a cruise down the Brenta Canal. Compared to the Villa Pisani which was a our first stop, it was modest in size but I loved the interior decorations and the slightly falling apart statues in the garden.

Seemed opened just for our burchiello tour, and since we were less then 20 people, we could fully profit of the visit. Richly decorated in rococo style. Different owners left their imprinting, like a kitch small bathroom with golden taps. In the park and nearby building there are also some ancient coaches. Nice overall architecture.

On our way from Venice to Padova - sailing along the river Brenta - we saw plenty of villas, but this one is really worth visiting. Although quite small, the grand hall makes the interior bigger than it could be expected, judging by the appearance outside. The hall is a baroque pearl with its ornaments and fresco paintings. The rooms downstairs and upstairs are less luxurious, but they contain some precious equipment, e.g. wonderful Murano chandeliers.
Next to the villa there is a long low building called barchessa, leading to a back yard with former stables where coaches are now displayed.

Of the 2 villas we visited, this one was the most interesting. There are rooms upstairs as well as on the ground floor and you can begin to get an idea of how lavish and extreme the parties must have been at the time this villa was built.

The rooms that were open were interesting and the Murano chandelier was stunning. Just a shame that more of the villa was not accessible and the grounds were attractive but not as wonderful as some of the other villas. It's near Villa Valmarana so allow time to see both.
