Everything has been said about this place in previous reviews. It is an excellent piece of history within the gates of Ft Abraham Lincoln. Pay for the tour. We did go upstairs and it may be hard for some. I don't know if it is actually handicap accessible up there. Our tour guide was great. We were the only ones on the tour and it lasted about an hour.

The house advertised on billboard and travel brochures does not exist. The house you will see is one that is down the street from where the actual house was. It burned down many years ago. The tour shows you a house "like" he lived in. What is really disappointing is there are no pictures of him or his family or even any of their furniture of personal items. It's just a house similar to what they lived in with artifacts from that era.

I would like to ask if anyone has taken a photo and capture an image. I was there this past summer. We were in the bed room area. I took some photos and capture a very intesrting photo.

We visited the General Custer house early on a Thursday morning in September. About 12 people on our tour. Picked up tickets at the entrance gate to the Ford Abraham Lincoln State Park.
The house is a well worth tour, with a very nice job done in furnishing the house. Our tour guide Sergeant Jacobson was fantastic.

A tour guide dressed in period-costume gave us a tour of the last home of General George Custer before he led the 7th Calvary at their defeat at Little Bighorn. Before taking us inside she gave us basic information about Custer, his wife, and the home. Once inside she took on the role of housekeeper and was true to the reenactment. We tried out the square piano in the home--very out-of-tune.

We had no idea of the majesty of the house that General George Armstrong Custer created for himself. Amazing attention to details in this reconstruction. The "soldier" park ranger was excellent in his portrayal of a Seventh Calvaryman.

This house is amazing for the time it was built. Mrs. Custer did a grand job of decorating. The history here is great.

Just got home from visiting relatives in Mandan. They told me I had to go to Custer House and we did. It is very authentic and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The house has many of the original belongings which added to the authenticity. After going through the main house we went to where the infantry lived. If you are in the area it is defiantly a go to historical attraction.

It's an amazing replica of Custer's original home at Fort Lincoln. Our tour guide took us back to the 1870s as we went through the house. It was very informative

Informative and good friendly tour guides that really get everyone involved. It is a recreation of the home with some original pieces that feels so genuine as if it was just yesterday they were there
