We came as a group of 10. I hadn't reserved a spot and thought I could do that when we got there if they had some available. It didn't work that way. The person at the counter told me I'd have to reserve online. We tried that and you cannot reserve online for the same day. I was frustrated and explained they have open shelters, I want to pay for one, why can't I get one? The person at the counter said it wasn't possible. I asked for a manager. I got to deal with Neely (spelling?) and she was wonderful. We got a shelter and everyone had a great time.

The park is nice, decent size, kids had a blast. Slightly expensive. Small concern...concession stand completely unorganized, apparently run by a bunch of teenagers who can get their thumbs off their smart phones long enough to pay attention to what's going on...but it's food, so whatever. BUT...same goes for the lifeguards. We were there five hours, and I only saw one lifeguard actually make an effort to enforce their "rules", which apparently were meant to be broken. Most of the lifeguards were females working on their tans and hitting on their boyfriends. Even the ones at the tops of the slides couldn't be bothered to get up and help people into their tubes or down the slides. They could barely pay attention long enough to tell you if it was safe to go. So, bottom line...if you are taking small children be prepared to be yelling at a lot of teenagers who are disobeying every posted rule and endangering the smaller kids...cuz the lifeguards just don't care.

Our water park tour began in Mandan at Raging Rivers. The price of admission was pretty low and gave us access all day. We ended up there on a very HOT Saturday and the park was not as crazy as one would expect.
There were two awesome slides from the highest tower. You could get a pretty good drop without being in contact with the slide whatsoever on the yellow slide if you tried to get as much speed as possible right off the bat. I bet you easily hit 50km/h; it was awesome.
The other slide on the tower was okay and you could get air several times on the way down but it didn't compare to the yellow one.
The tube rides were good, too but the lazy river was probably the best. It had a wave generator that made one portion really fun. There were a couple of spots where the waves interfered perfectly and you literally rose and dropped 6 feet!
The lifeguards could have done a better job controlling the kids who seemed to have no parents but other than that we had an awesome time.

We drove 200 miles to get to this place on the 4th of July weekend. Weather was going to be great, hot and humid (perfect for a water park). We stayed in a hotel and went the next day after lunch, noonish.
It did rain that morning at 9, and was done before the scheduled opening of 11. When we pulled up to the place there were about eight other cars sitting there (most with parents in the cars on their phones). It was 80 degrees, sunny, zero clouds, hot, humid, and noonish.
They were CLOSED FOR THE DAY due to WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No recording when you called, so zero way of knowing before you got there. And as thier site says, they will continue to check and then open. LIES.
I will never waste my time to drive to that place again. Huge disappointment for my kids, me, and a waste of time and money on the drive, hotel, and food.

With the shortage of reviews on this site, my family considered not going to the park, so I'm writing my first review to be sure others don't miss out on this fun and affordable day.
The park isn't as large as the Silverwood Theme Park in Coeur d'Alene that my family went to last year, but we found this less "stressful", with shorter lines and easier to enjoy. My children are 3, 9 and 15 and they all had something to do. The grounds are well kept, paint was fairly fresh with little peeling or corrosion, background music emanated from speakers everywhere, and the slides stair towers were sturdy with good concrete grip. There were lots of lifeguards on duty, though they didn't seem to be too watchful while texting or chatting with each other.
My personal highlight was the Lazy River, which all ages can use. Tubes are already in the water so there is no extra charge (unlike some parks), and you can enter/exit at two different points or just stay on as long as you want. The MGM Grand's Lazy River in Las Vegas is longer and undoubtedly more expensive, but they provide variety by dripping/spraying water on you in different (sometimes annoying) ways. On Raging Rivers they have a wave generator in an area with waterfalls that also narrows into a bottleneck which gently lifts and bumps the tubes together. I couldn't find a person that didn't have a smile on their face at this point!

My boyfriend and I decided to see what Raging Rivers was all about and we were pleasantly surprised. We have been to some big water parks, and although Raging Rivers doesn't have as many slides as some bigger parks, we were both very surprised by how much it did offer. There are 2 speed slides and 2 tube slides and they were all fun. We went on a Sunday and it didn't get busy until later on in the day, so I would suggest going early! Our favourite part was the lazy river. This wasn't your ordinary, lazing around, half asleep lazy river. Half way through there is a wave machine that creates waves that seem to get stuck in one area to form a mega wave. It is so much fun going through that area! I strongly, strongly reccomend Raging Rivers.

The slides are okay and the kiddie pool is loads of fun, however, the lazy river has room for improvement.
Normally, the lazy river is a blast! With or without the waves that drop every ten minutes or so, it's fun to float down and it's fun to ride the waves when they do drop them. HOWEVER, our last visit was plagued with unsupervised children that we wound up watching for free... who knows what would have happened to them had we not kept an eye on them and their safety. The life guards are mindful, however, the lifeguards posted by the wave area neglected to enforce a few rules posted for the lazy river. One of them being "walkers stay against the wall" and "stay on your tube when the waves drop". We couldn't sufficiently enjoy the waves when they dropped because the lazy river was oozing with small children who could barely keep their heads above the water who were swimming without tubes (and there were loads of tubes available for them to use). When the waves sent us tube-riders up into the air and back and forth, we had to be very careful not to crush the small children against the walls of the pool or ride over their heads and drown them. The children were innocent in their attempts to use the lazy river as an ordinary pool but they did not understand the risk they were taking in doing so... nor did their absent parents who let them wander into those waters without their supervision! My child is 8 years old and I still followed her from every attraction around the water park because accidents happen no matter how many lifeguards you employ.
If you do attend this water park, it is loads of fun and I recommend it but PLEASE, SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, I believe they got rid of the lockers... when we visited last year they had a stack of them by the restrooms, however, they were removed when we visited this year!
And it would be nice if they got rid of the unused go-cart track and installed another pool for people who just want to swim.

Lots to do and see. Kids area is great and lazy River is also very fun with small ones but more or less aimed at more older kids 48" and taller. Staff really isn't too friendly but we kept to our own. Price is ok for adults at 14 but maybe a little steep for young ones 11 (under 2 free)

Not an enormous waterpark, but big enough to have a variety of rides and also small enough to keep track of the kids. Snackbar isn't great, but acceptable junk food.
Gets quite crowded on hot days, best to show up early.

Love the lazy river! There’s a separate area for the smaller children, and there are a few slides for the bigger kids/ adults. You can ride individually or with someone, which is fun. The tickets to get in are a bit pricey if you don’t have a coupon, and they even charge you a “spectator fee” just to watch your kids swim, which I thought was kind of stupid. But if you’re swimming, it’s a good time. They have lockers to rent, and there are even go karts and mini golf (at an additional fee, of course). There is also a snack shack, in case you didn’t bring anything. 😉

Thank you! We no longer have go karts and mini golf but I'm glad you enjoyed your stay!
