Nice museum, Really enjoyed the exhibits. The multiple collections of NY artist are fascinating. The university must provide better access to parking for visitors. The cafe serves a lovely lunch so a stay could easily be two to three hours.

This museum of art is one of those places that will take about an hour or less to get through. It is two floors and not very big. Great gift shop filled with local items (and probably where I spent equal time as when I...More

I enjoyed the exhibits at this museum and found the overall architecture of this small museum to be part of it's charm. It has two large halls and a loft exhibit area. Outside is a stone hinge like stone exhibit where each rock is one...More

The museum is situated out on the University campus, so you need a car to get there (I was on foot). When I went, the whole space was dedicated to an exhibition of Rick Barstow's work. It is beautifully set out, and the half hour...More

The opening reception for our business trip was held at this gallery. The staff put on an excellent hors'douvres buffet in the main gallery. The main gallery exhibit changes and is not a permanent installation. Upstairs is the reconstruction of a New York artists studio...More

OK, so I'm not huge on art, but this place has something kind of special going on. First, I was surprised to learn that it is the old gymnasium that has been repurposed into the museum of art, which is pretty cool in itself. What...More

Thank you for the kind words about the North Dakota Museum Of Art. Yes, hard to believe our building was a former gymnasium built in 1907. This year we have undergone a significant remodel to make it last another 100 plus years. Our Concerts In...More
