We have just had a lovely day at this place. Well worth a visit. Very well organised and lots of things to see as well as butterflies! Inactive area for kids. Good cafe for coffee and food. Reduced rates l for seniors. We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it. Wheelchairs also available to use. A fun day out... More

Entopia is the former butterfly farm but now turn into a nature wonder in the concrete jungle so to speak. Even if one is not a nature lover you still can enjoy the place for you can stroll in comfort in a covered air-conditioned natural environment with butterflies flying around you and many many other things. Visit and see for... More

We only intended to stay for an hour, but ended up being there for four hours. The butterflies land on your fingers and the kids loved it. The indoors has great interactive education on butterflies and all other kinds of insects. I loved the worms, the kids loved the ants. Fantastic place to visit with young children. Only downside is... More

If you think the old butterfly farm is good, then the bigger, prettier version of Entopia will blow you away! The place looks amazing inside out.. You would never guess from the outside view that you will discover a paradise inside.. They have everything you need to know about butterflies, you get to witness it's growth process from egg to... We intended to spend an hour or so in Entopia but after about 3 hours we had to leave. Amazing exhibits and a wealth of educational information. TIP: Wear bright blue/green clothes. The butterflies will LOVE you! A must do when you're on the island!

It is a real upgrade from the previous Butterfly Farm I knew and visited so much with my children/family since I moved to Penang. I went with my 3 children aged below 12 years and 2 of adult rate children. We had a swell time, I enjoyed the discovery and also the activities scheduled by the centre throughout the day,... More

This was really amazing. A very impressive setup and professional. Our kids absolutely loved it and wanted to go around twice. There is a lot to see and do and we spent a good 4 hours there. It was really educational and fun with lots of activities for the kids. The cafe was good for lunch. The botanical gardens and... More

We took our grandchildren here during the Christmas break. What a wonderful surprise to find a world-class destination hidden in north Penang. This used to be a small butterfly farm but they have expanded it into a huge interactive facility with butterflies and reptiles (usually caged) all over the place. We spent a couple hours here but easily could have... More

I was really surprised with Entopia. It's commonly described as the butterfly farm but it's so much more than that. They've obviously invested a significant amount recently, the outdoor part is huge with a dome like roof and waterfalls and houses the butterflies but also a pair of water monitor lizards, as well as various other lizards and some fish.... You need to get a taxi there and ask him to wait while you visit this place. There is no access to public transport and a waiting taxi cost 100 ringgit from our hotel from Parkroyal for 2 hours wait. Antopia layout is good as it's in an almost covered surrounding. Best to visit it in the morning if you... More
