This gorgeous alpine lake, surrounded by forests and mountains, is wonderful for a short walk or a longer stay. We stopped at one of the roadside parking lots and enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the lake.

Walchensee is not far away from Garmish. I used a car. But you can check buses availability locally or through internet. Bus network is good in Germany.
