A great expereince

The ND state capital building is well worth the time to stop and see. At the top floor, you get a fabulous 360 view. Plus there are photos from days gone by.

The building was closed when we were there, but the exterior is the most nothing State Capitol Building that I ever seen out of the 20 or so that I seen. The grounds look like a sterile office parking lot.

If you've never been in a state capitol building like this you should go and get acquainted with it. The woodwork is beautiful and it has an art Deco type of style to it. There's a free tour that takes about 30 minutes or so. You can take an elevator up to the18th floor where you can see out all... More

We visited here while on my husband's naval reunion. Great guided tour. Art déco architecture. 35 mile view from observation deck. Be sure to visit when in Fargo.

Unexpected 1930s Art Deco buildings on well manicured grounds. Free tours and self guided. Observation deck provides good view as far as the eye can see. Outer deck is closed for safety and security but it's windows all the way around. Historical photos lining walls provide nice glimpse into past. Plenty of parking and Museum on grounds as well. Pretty... More

We actually didn't tour the Capitol building but we did enjoy walking around the Capitol grounds which are very beautiful. My sons were playing Pokemon Go. There are several Poke Stops at various monuments and memorials so it was fun and educational. There is also a Pokemon Gym. The walk path is very nice and there are like a hundred... More

Committee was receptive of my attendance and people were polite and informative in the building. Well kept and clean.

The North Dakota State Capitol is well worth taking the time to tour. The tour guide will take you throughout the building, telling you not only about its history but also about its construction and re-construction. You even get to visit the "Monkey Room"! The view from the top is amazing! Free to visit and worth taking the time!

Look closely and you will see the distinguishing curves of Art Deco architecture. Or watch the numerous Pokemon players discovering the myriad of historic and cultural icons across the Capitol's campus. A must visit and don't be surprised if you bump into the Governor.
