The kids at our school love to go to Bethania. Someone in the group gets to dress up. the whole group gets to play old timey games. They have individuals dressed in period costume to explain everything.

Interesting historical little town. Lady at the visitor center was very knowledgeable. Several walking tours that can also be driven. Don't miss the cemetery. Interesting how the Moravian buried their dead.

My dad and I went on a Sunday so the visitor's center was closed. We didn't really do the historic buildings as we were more interested in the walking trails. It was a very nice walk through the woods and fields. Most of the trail is on the level and a lot of it is single file as it can... More

This is one of my favorite walks in any season. It is like Narnia in the Summer. A flower fairyland in the Spring. A symphony of color on Autumn. And a stroll among tall, majestic barren trees in winter. The trail crosses several streams and meanders through fields and forrest.

The walking trail is beautiful, the historic buildings are very nice and each has a little history. It was smaller than I expected and really everything is by car, but beware of traffic, the road is a driving road and is used by people other than using the park. It was very nice and would go back, but don't plan... More

We are glad we took the time to visit this little settlement. We found our guide to be very friendly and very knowledgable about the area and history of the Moravians.

I have come to Bethania dozens of time over the years and always enjoyed my visits although to be honest there's really not much to see except for the nice old houses and the visitors center. I still like the peaceful atmosphere of the area and the easy going slower pace of the community.

Bethania is a little off of the beaten path for visitors to Winston-Salem but is well worth the short drive to see an important historic landmark in the Moravian development of this area.

There is a Visitor's Center that is in a small historic church, but renovated on the inside to just be an office, so all they have there are some free paper guides to the origins of the interesting old homes, the larger Moravian church, and other buildings you can see by walking the two to three blocks on Main Street...caution....two-way...
