There is beach near by, but don't waste your time. The beach is evidently undergoing some sort of swear or water pipe implant along the whole beach area. Call & verify the beach completion before you travel.

Downtown Wilmington is not that big so it is easy to walk and has a charm about it. If you like riverwalks, shops and great places to eat, it would be worth a visit.

I was there for the St. Patrick's Day parade and shopping with my granddaughters. The shops a uniue and the resturants are great. I recommend using parking on the street or a parking garage. Smaller lots that have parking kios charge exorbitant rates.

Lots to do and see, including the stroll along the riverfront. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cute shops, along with sights of historic interest.

Front street has loads of interesting shops and cafes and restaurants, may be a bit loud and crowd even late at night. The breweries def a must!

I recommend using the parking garage on Market Street, which will be your best bet cost wise. Parking on the street is not as bad as the kiosk parking lots, which are very pricey. If there is an event going on down on the... More
