Our book club took two walking tours...the Ghost Walk and the Literary Walk. We heard about so many people buried here. We had to come to find William and his dog Boss. It was three weeks after the 2018 hurricane...we googled a map of Oakdale...More

Easy to find and rich in history. Wilmington's first elected mayor buried here. Found the monument to fallen Confederate soldiers interesting. Caretaking was spotty but still a a very peaceful place.

These is one of the most beautiful places in Wilmington! It's full of history and beautiful sights. Highly recommend visiting and it is an awesome place to have pictures done :)

Lots of history here, and touching monuments. From pre civil war to the present. My father and mother's best friend are here.

This one surprised me because I did not want to do a cemetary tour but this guided tour was really packed full of historic relevance that I would have missed if I just toured on my own. David Brinkley of network news fame is buried...More

Loads of history in here, the monuments and headstones were very interesting to read. Lots of benches to sit down and take breaks!

Throughout the year, the Cemetery Committee has special tours. We took the Funerary Art Tour and learned about the statuary of the grave sites from the Victorian era.If a tour is not available, take a walk when the graveyard is open. Worth it.
