Both beautiful and historic. A glimpse into antebellum war life. Union troops briefly occupied this house as their headquarters during the war. Living history.

The beautiful Bellamy Mansion is open again after the hurricane. Thank you Beth C for a wonderful guided tour following a very well made short film. A must for those interested in 19th Century history of black Americans and the Civil War

Restored old southern mansion, with kitchen in basement. They are always working on restoration. It takes you back 200 years in history. They have a lot of old artifacts from that time period. It is a must see.
