I hate snakes!! Kids love them so I took one for the team and brought them. They loved it! They were amazed by all the variety of snakes that they have seen in books but not in person. I thought the man behind the counter was very nice and I did find it very educational with all the descriptions.

The informational plaques tell interesting scientific facts about the reptiles and sometimes tell interesing stories about the proprietor's adventures collecting the specimens. The environments are very well done. The carpeting and general environment is a bit shabby for which I have to deduct a half star. Bonus point for having a snake available for kids to handle. Staff very friendly.

I do not like snakes but this is a wonderful adventure. I can't believe that I left the serpentarium saying that some of the snakes were beautiful. Viewing very well laid out. Still don't want to run into these critters outside, just be sure they stay where they are.

We visited on a Saturday in the late afternoon, right around feeding time. Well worth the $8 and change admission. Don't forget to bring cash--they don't accept cards. They fed 3 snakes, the croc, the alligator snapping turtle, and the Gila monster! A little "raw" if you have young children (they fed the reticulated python an ENORMOUS white bunny the... More

Just a great visit. We have a 2 year old who gets side tracked a ton but was totally loving this place. They entrance fee was only 9 bucks for adults and she was free. Lots of rare and extremely dangerous snakes, a few lizards and turtles as well as a crock or 2. We caught the tail end of... More

This place is a must do and see when in town. But, it is not for the weak at hart and if you have snake Phobias this experience will cure it. This is a 5-6 skull and crossbones area. The collection of extremely poisonous snakes and reptiles is amazing. They feed the snakes right in front of you. The 18... More

I expected to be disappointed in a snake museum in a tourist town. I was wrong. The collection of rare and poisonous snakes was really amazing. Most of the snakes were either poisonous or larger constrictors like pythons and boas. While the building and exhibits seemed a little old and worn this did not distract from the experience in any... I took my two sons here on a whim while my wife and daughter were shopping. We got lucky and we're there while they fed the snakes and lizards 3:00 pm on Sunday (they also feed them 3:00 pm Saturday's). It was amazing!!! The handler had good facts about the animals as he fed them. The king cobra feeding was... More
