An off-beat, interesting way to spend a couple hours

Cool snakes, easy to see, learned more about lots of snakes than I thought I ever would! It was a little stuffy, could use better ventilation, but we (4 of us) all enjoyed it.

My granddaughter loved it. We were able to be there at feeding time. Never been to a place with such deadly snakes. Even in zoos they don't usually carry such dangerous animals.

This serpentarium is set up like a circus freak show. 20-foot pythons and 5-foot monitor lizards have the absolute minimum amount of space. A 25-pound snapping turtle is hovering in a 5-foot by 2.5-foot fish tank without even a rock to perch on. How does this equate to educating people about animals if they only see them in inhumane environments?... More

This place was amazing!!! Every saturday @ 3pm they feed the reptiles RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!! And not only that, the guy feeding them knows his stuff and all about the animals and is telling you all about them while he is feeding them.

I love reptiles and would love to see these. The entrance price is way to steep to take my family (wife, 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren).

Went on a rainy day and was lots of fun. Good central location being Down Town. They have two floors worth of snakes. Some were pretty active moving around their aquariums. If you go, grab a visitors magazine before because inside is a coupon to pet a snake for free! They also have alligators, turtles and some birds.

I have been to the Serpentarium many times in the past. Now it is my husband and boys who go. It is on their too do list. Must admit is a remarkable experience with the rarest of rare and some of the most venomous snakes in the world. There are also remarkable parrots and a few alligators. Totally safe, nothing... To get out of a particularly hot, humid afternoon, we decided to try out this attraction. No one in the group was very overly fond of snakes but these are not your everyday snakes. Exotic, colorful and the extremely dangerous. There are also reptiles, surprisingly large alligators and an ancient tortoise in a much too small enclosure. However, most of... More
