We go to the Sunset Beach area of the NC coast once or twice a year and have always discussed touring the USS North Carolina. This year we finally did it! It was about a 45 minute drive from our location and between that and...More

We visited the battleship during our vacation to kure beach. It was about a 17 mile drive, but a welcome break from the beach for a day. If you like history, this is awesome! It was very hands on with guns that you can maneuver....More

This was the first time my family ventured away from the beach while on vacation. We made the hour drive and it was worth it. The history was great and you have access to most of the ship. My husband and 15 year old son...More

I really enjoy milling about on history, so it's easy to overlook somethings. This is an incredible experience. It's self guided so you can take as little or as much time as you want. PLENTY of artsy and fun photo opportunities. I toured this in...More

As a 10 year old girl from out of state I was truly amazed at the vast ship. To the many rooms in the ship to the cannons outside it just gets better by the minute. The service was great and everybody who works there...More

Took my 4th grade class to see the NC Battleship! They were very excited and enjoyed exploring the ship! Everyone was able to get a small gift from the gift shop for a low cost! Lunch outside on the river was wonderful!

This is a Wilmington tour that is so informative, if you have a guide (and we did), that you will be amazed at the technology required to run the ship, communicate, defend itself, and allow the sailors to have a minimal set of 'comforts' at...More

We toured the whole ship, which was huge. You have to be mobile and willing to go up and down narrow stairs and hallways to see the different areas of the ship. It can be a little claustrophobic at times. In the heat of the...More

We are putting together class trips for middle school 7th graders and looking at Wilmington as one of our options. We are interested in any types of discounts for a group of students? Is there a limit as to how many can visit the ship at one time? Would there be a possibility of guided tours? We are looking at 150-180 students, split into two groups that would visit at separate times.

These are questions for the folks who work on the ship. We are all travelers who have visited. Their phone number is 910 251-5797.

Are there restrooms available on the ship? Or do visitors have to leave for a bathroom break? Thanks in advance.

I do recall seeing a restroom on the actual ship. I did not go into the facility, but it appeared to be small. I have two small children so I walked back to the gift shop area to use those restrooms (which were larger). The... More
