Stopped in here with family and was glad we had brought our 4 year old nephew. My dad is 79 and enjoyed watching the trains as much as the 4 year old did. There is a play area for kids indoors too. We found it a comfortable retreat from the hot humid day outside. Spent about 2 hours here. Very... More

Being somewhat of a train buff, I was surprised to find this museum during a summer business trip to Wilmington. Not the largest train museum I've ever been too, it was however quite interesting, and I spent well over an hour looking over both the interior and exterior displays. The highlight for me was the HO scale layout. It is... More

The locomotive sounds its horn at noon and you can walk around and see this entire historic location including the old railroad terminals. Not bad for a quick visit.

Took my visiting 6 year old grandson here and enjoyed ourselves way more than expected! Love that you can go in and out of the train cars and ring the bell! The inside has a huge miniature train room with moving trains traveling through a city--very entertaining! Great for people who are not even train buffs. Will definitely go back.... More

We love the Railroad museum. I have been taking my daughter there since she was one year old. We visit every year. At first, she loved the Thomas toy area. She still enjoys this, but as she has grown she has developed an appreciation for the intricate model railway system at the back of the museum. I love looking at... More

The detail is amazing. Watch a McDonalds burger ordered or coal transferred to a railcar. A volunteer took us to a separate room where they were working on a traveling display and told us so much about it! We spent a couple hours here. Fascinating but may not be to young children because it is not hands on.

We had a great time here, there is a train engine to climb in and a caboose to explore. The museum takes you on a trip through the history of rail travel with some remarkable insights into the human side of working with trains and track. The exhibits are varied and interesting and there are several interactive displays, the most... More
