My husband and I made reservations for 2, to go horseback riding. When we arrived, after driving an hour, we were informed that there would be no rides, because the person who leads them was sick. The woman at the ranch told me she called to let me know and left a message. I got this message as I was... More

What a wonderful adventure to take the kids on. First time riders and they did so well. It was difficult terrain, up and down hills, lots of rocks and some deep mud after a week of rain the previous week. The owner and ranch hands were great. The location and scenery were gorgeous. Loved being so deep into a true... More

My husband and I went with our 2 teenage boys and had terrific time. I have taken several horseback rides in the past with other people and did not have the good time like we had. It is mountain trail riding so don't expect to run thru meadows of flowers. The horses were well taken care of and were very... More

Let's start with the horses, they were friendly and easy to ride. It was an easy ride up and down the mountain trail. The kids enjoyed the experience. Now, on to the unusual part. There were about 4 dogs running loose when we exited the car. We were letting them as we were told they were friendly. One, the black... More

My family and I (a party of 9) planned a cabin trip in the mountains. We all decided that we wanted to go horseback riding. I began to do research and came across Dutch Creek Trails. At first, I wasn't sure that my family would enjoy it (it's literally a farm in the mountains and we are "city folk" from... More

Greeted by Granny Phyllis You feel like one of the family. You ride out in a comfortable tractor bed to the horses. They hand pick a horse just for you. Your horses have pleasant personalities. Our guides Travis and Justin were well experienced in woes of an inexperienced trail rider and also flexible to meet the needs of an experienced... More

We arrived a little before 4 on a Saturday, to the little green house nestled in the beautiful and pleasant Blue Ridge Mountains. We went inside and were greeted by a lovely woman named Granny Phyllis. (well Phyllis) Within a few minutes Travis and Justin were at the door introducing themselves to us. We got on the tractor bed &... More

Had a great visit to Dutch creek trails while staying in Boone, nc. We headed out for a nice afternoon horseback ride with the family, kids 10 and 7. Was great meeting Keith and enjoyed watching the kids take a stab at the great swing hanging from the tree while we waited for the tractor ride. Travis picked us up... More

The adventure exceeding our expectations. Trail ride was for real. Not just an advertised gimmick ride. Horses were excellent to ride for all ages. Guides more than helpful and friendly. Will return for another ride for sure! Great family fun!

You feel like one of the family. You ride out in your tractor pulled "limo" to the horses. They hand pick a horse just for you. Charlie, Taylor, Matt & Amber were great at getting us saddled up and on our way. My 8 yr old granddaughter was extremely anxious, so they put her on "Bubbles" and Charlie led her... More
