Lancel Sand Dunes are fun. The sand dunes are clean, and the slope is steep, up to 45 degrees incline. The sand dunes are around 2 km (1 1/2 km) long. Using a dirt bike or 4WD is exciting. The dunes are inland from the Lancelin township. which is on the Indian Ocean coast. The Lancelin Sand Dunes are around 1 1/2 hours north of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia.

The views were amazing . We went in the evening when the heat was less pinching. One can walk around at ease and hop on little heaps of White Sands on white sands . The experience was amazing.

Brilliant fun boarding down the dunes. Unfortunately it's so popular that there is barely room to go. If you go in a small car just be careful not to get bogged down in the sand as it's easy to do.

Good fun sand boarding by kids. Things I would recommend are going in the morning, consider buying a proper board as the rented ones are battered and don’t slide anywhere near as fast (watched other kids using their own), take your 4WD and explore away from the main area as much less crowded and amazing scenery. It’s really hard work so if you’re unfit it’s going to be a struggle, as in doing 1 run only a struggle. You don’t need more than 2-3hrs max.

Lots of sand and it looks impressive. We were thee on a day with wind so made better by sand blowing off tops of dunes. Pretty impressive

We rented the sand board at a petrol station near to Lancelin Sand dune for $10 each for an hour. You need to pay a deposit os $50 for each board and it will be refunded when you return. We rented 3 in total.

The sand dune is free of charge and there is also another rental for sand board and quad bikes at that area.

Wide space where you can try sand boarding at anywhere you like. The sand is very fine. Make sure you wear eye protection to prevent sand from getting into the eyes. Watch out for broken glasses on the ground before sliding down and drink plenty of water as it gets very hot in mid day.

Good experience for the adults and kid!

Two or four wheelers to hire costs you very dearly. Get yourself good shoes and walk those amazing sands.

Nice way to spend a day on the coast! we got there at about 10am and got some sandboards for the boys. they loved it! with the 4WD we found our own dune to hang out for the day. Amazing view of the beach from there too! This is definitely the new hangout spots for school holidays! kind of over priced to hire the quadbikes, buggy and dirtbikes though. still had good fun and made great memories!

Awesome place for 4wding and shenanigans. Weather was great and plenty of wind for those kite surfers. We had a mini BBQ and properly enjoyed our time. Even the young boys had a great time out there.

Went quad biking and sand boarding. Both are excellent in a spectacular setting. Amazing how soft the sand is and how accessible it is. Wonderful!
