We did an early morning cruise on the gorge and the ranger was very knowledgeable and informative. It is amazing to see how each wet season the whole place floods and the different depts the water comes to on the check-in walls. There are some lovely walks and picnic areas to enjoy the park.

We did the 1 hour, 2.30pm departure boat cruise of the Gorge, very good commentary, very informative. The cruise was at a very relaxed pace, time to absorb the scenery.

This is a great stop over in Fitzroy and not far from the main town., it’s a bitumen road in. We went here just to do the walks and they were excellent. There is also a river cruise here and you don’t need to book, just show up at certain times they are on. The main Jarrambayah walk was an easy 4.4 km return walk and sandy, it takes you through amazing rock formations, there are plaques to read more about the formations also and it’s easy to follow.

I had prebooked our tour of Geike Gorge before we left on our trip.Arrived and got onto the boat which was in great condition and skippered by someone who was passionate about the area and the river.Well worth the money paid.We did the sunset tour and the colours on the rocks was amazing.Probably one of the nicest spots we did in the 8 weeks of travelling that we did.A must whilst in the area

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour up the Fitzroy River. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The rock formations and cliffs were spectacular and it was great to see fresh water crocs and different species of birds. Well worth doing.

We did the Geike Gorge boat cruise and we were very impressed with the trip. Dean the tour guide and leader was brilliant with his comprehensive knowledge of the area and faultless commentary. We were particularly impressed with his indigenous slant in relation to the Danggu National Park. The importance of the area to the local indigenous people was appropriately highlighted by Dean, as was the history of the area. A fantastic experience!
