I didn't take my bike but borrowed a friends. The trail is an easy flat ride on bitumen, I did 20 KM on the first day and 16 on the second to Wandiligong which was a bit more undulating. Highly recommend.

The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is very well kept. I remember riding this trail as a child at the age of seven and speeding along it. It safely accesses quite a few of the towns on the valley and also makes it to the...More

Safe and flat riding for the whole family. Really well maintained paths. Plenty to see and do along the way

The Rail Trail follows the old rail bed so it is mainly very flat. The trail roughly follows the Great Alpine Road from Wangaratta to Bright. There is a great side track up to Beechworth, but this one has some steep grades - great on...More

We went to Bright for relaxation and that is exactly what we got. Such a gorgeous little town, so picturesque and easy access to all the Alpine mountains in the winter, however they are so worth visiting at other times of the year. Crystal clear...More

My husband and I rode the Bright-Porepunkah portion of the trail and loved it! A nice gentle ride that took about 75 minutes return (with a good pit stop). Lots of rest stops along the way should you need to have a break. The track...More

Yes. There are two bike stores in Bright that hire a variety of bikes from road to mountain bikes.
