I hired a bike in Bright and spent some time riding from Bright to Myrtleford one morning. A very easy ride as it is pretty well flat the whole way (which suited me just fine). On the return i went a step further and continued...More

Our third trip here and enjoy the rail trail as it is all off road with a path that is wide and easily negotiated. We generally stay in Bright and do the ride to Wandilong, and to myrtleton. A lively place to cycle especially in...More

The Rail Trail follows the old rail bed so it is mainly very flat. The trail roughly follows the Great Alpine Road from Wangaratta to Bright. There is a great side track up to Beechworth, but this one has some steep grades - great on...More

We went to Bright for relaxation and that is exactly what we got. Such a gorgeous little town, so picturesque and easy access to all the Alpine mountains in the winter, however they are so worth visiting at other times of the year. Crystal clear...More

My husband and I rode the Bright-Porepunkah portion of the trail and loved it! A nice gentle ride that took about 75 minutes return (with a good pit stop). Lots of rest stops along the way should you need to have a break. The track...More

Lovely, safe, sealed track suitable for all bike breeds. Loved being able to do the Bright to Yarobin section & return. We had children in the party that turned around just before Porepukah and a couple of adults kept riding. Beautiful country and the tree...More

There's a few bike hire places in town, including electric bikes which make it quite easy to ride without much leg effort. The trails are flat and easy to use, well signposted, and wide enough to pass other riders. Lovely scenery and quite relaxing overall.

Suggest you start at the High Country Motor Inn in Bright. Very good family rooms, secluded internal garden and pool, right on the trail. You can put your bikes on the bus back from Myrtleford or Everton in the afternoons if... More

Yes. There are two bike stores in Bright that hire a variety of bikes from road to mountain bikes.
