I didn't take my bike but borrowed a friends. The trail is an easy flat ride on bitumen, I did 20 KM on the first day and 16 on the second to Wandiligong which was a bit more undulating. Highly recommend.
We just completed the Beechworth to Bright portion of the trail with our two Eleven year old children. We did the trail over two days with an overnight stop in Myrtleford.
Panniers packed on our bikes, we let the kids set the pace. There is...More
The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is very well kept. I remember riding this trail as a child at the age of seven and speeding along it. It safely accesses quite a few of the towns on the valley and also makes it to the...More

I hired a bike in Bright and spent some time riding from Bright to Myrtleford one morning. A very easy ride as it is pretty well flat the whole way (which suited me just fine). On the return i went a step further and continued...More
Our third trip here and enjoy the rail trail as it is all off road with a path that is wide and easily negotiated. We generally stay in Bright and do the ride to Wandilong, and to myrtleton. A lively place to cycle especially in...More

Bright NRMA holiday park is where we stay with our family. Closely situated to town, river and splash park, has a pool, Minigolf course and various other amenities. It is not actually on the rail trail because the rail trail is in Bright. It starts on the street near the Woolies or you can go through the other side of town to Wandiligong. Have fun!
