Langmeil Winery offers guests a relaxing friendly place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and child friendly. Ample tables and chairs to enjoy some yummy wines with a cheese platter of local produce (or take it with you) from the lovely staff at Cellar Door. Special premium wine tastings for $50 a person (bookings essential) in the Freedom Cellar and if the weather permits a vineyard tour also, showcasing old gnarly Shiraz vines believed to be the oldest in the world. The old Blacksmiths workshop and stables speak the history of ye ole Langmeil Village - one of the first settlements in the Barossa. There is something for everyone at Langmeil Winery.

I am an Adelaide local and visit this winery every time I come to the Barossa. They have never failed to disappoint. The staff are incredibly knowledgable, enthusiastic and share their knowledge in a fun and understandable manner. The wines are equally as impressive. Love the Rose and the Orphan bank Shiraz. Highly recommend this outstanding cellar door.

If you love a good red wine, you must not miss a visit to the cellar door at Langmeils Winery on Para Road Tanunda. Full of atmosphere and located in a heritage building, it oozes warmth and class, and the wines on offer match the quality of the location. Friendly, knowledgable staff complete the experience, which we thought was outstanding.... More

Visited during the Barossa Vintage Festival, as Langmeil regulars almost didn't put Langmeil on our event selection. The Poets & Platters night was so much fun (bit naughty) good entertainment. The Valley Floor experience was really special, Jonathan is so passionate about Langmeil wines, the region & its history. Its a lovely cellar door with plenty old buildings & beautiful... More

We came to Poets and Platters on recommendation of friends who have been here previously. The event is held at Langmeil Winery in the cellar where hundreds of barrells of wine are stored. It is a great location. The cellars have long tables seating 20 and platters are set up on the tops of wine barrels. The food was plentiful... More

While we were in Adelaide we went on a private whole day tour with Jason Miller of Rich+Lingering to this excellent winery and a tour of the Barossa and Eden valleys. Langmeil Winery was a great winery to visit, quiet and personal, extremely well presented and immaculate, with helpful and friendly staff (without being pushy or intent on persuading you... More

Visited Langmeil 5+ years ago and have been wanting to return ever since. Their wines are awesome, especially their Shirazes, and they have the oldest vines in Australia. Really enjoyed the conversation with the staff members who made the experience really enjoyable.

No booking required and not too many people when we were there- maybe 8 tops. Excellent old restored buildings and displays, great cellar door and knowledgeable staff ensure a pleasant visit. Good wines in a friendly and relaxed setting for all to see.

Langmeil winery is full of history, the staff are friendly and helpful and the setting is perfect on a sunny day. Sit on the lawns or under the vine covered verandah and enjoy a wine or platter.
