Must visit in Penola to see the history of this area, small cottages are amazing with interesting stories, some shops there too, near the Mary Maclliop centre , must see!

You must take the time to wander down Petticoat Lane, read and visit these Heritage cottages. It is amazing!

Following the guide brochure to this charming street gives depth to the interest of the many old buildings preserved here. Well worth a walk along this lane back in time. Interesting old cottages with furniture and worth a look at the gardens too.

Didn't have a lot of time when we visited, so we will go back to do the Heritage Walking Tour. We did visit Petticoat Lane, which, while small, is well worth a look. Interesting lane to visit when in Penola, followed by a visit to the Mary MacKillop Centre. A look into how people used to live.

grab brochure or download the map and walk around pretty historic penola. petticoat lane is just one part of this pretty town.

We visited this little historic lane on our bike. Whilst there is not a lot to look at we found it great. One of the cottages was open Sunday and they have a herb garden at the back where you can take some herbs and leave a donation. It's so quaint and beautiful. Amazing to see how we used to... More
