Great selection of cheese and local produce including cured meats, biscuits, chockies etc.

You can do tastings and the staff are very welcoming.

A small shop that packs a big punch. We had a shared cheese board for lunch, paired with fruits and other accompaniments, and it was delightful.

We also bought cheese to take away with us.

Friendly young lady greated us. Polite, helpful & offered a small block of ice to place with the cheeses we purchased. Nice experience & variety of local goodies.

Disappointing
I’m a cheese lover & had been looking forward to visiting the Barossa Cheese company as part of our visit to the area.
I was prepared to pay $5 to support the business & understand that there are overheads involved with offering tastings.

The 4 measly pieces of cheese were absolutely disappointing, especially given that I am unable to eat goats cheese ( no prior warning) & therefore half the ‘selection’ was wasted on me..
The woman describing the cheeses could not have been less interested if she had tried.
We couldn’t wait to leave the store.
If you’re after coffee- head next door to the Italian Entoca.
If you’re interested in cheese- visit Maggie’s farm- for double the price for 2, you’ll get 2 big pieces of local cheese, bread olives & accompaniments- totally better value.

So sorry to hear of this experience - should you ever visit the Barossa we would love to invite you to join us once again. You can email us at sales@barossacheese.com.au and I will organise tasting plates for your group. We specialise in making soft cow and goat milk cheese and it is made onsite by hand. Something you don't find at every cheesecellar in Australia. We hope you can make it back to the Barossa soon, Emily

I recently visited the shop with 5 friends. We were very well received at reception. We all had a platter of local cheeses to taste with a glass of local wine. It was great to see that other local products were available for purchase as well. Can recommend a visit.

A great little cheese factory with lots of information including watching the cheesemakers on CCTV making cheese. Some great choices of cheese taster platters. Look out for the 4 year old goat cheese, taste it and take some home, because you can't buy it anywhere else.

Thanks Mick! Our 4 year old La Dame sure is a very special cheese - we are glad you enjoyed your visit and seeing the Cheesemakers working hard in their environment. Many thanks, Emily

Really enjoyed the cheeses provided for our Cheese and Wine Trail. Just one of the winery's had not heard of the trail package, but they were quick to accommodate, so no problem whatsoever. Will recommend to others and will do ourselves again.

Just went in and shopped for cheese. Found a goats cheese Camembert and a buffalo milk blue cheese! Who knew these were a thing! Yum ! Both absolutely delicious! Lots of yummy goods to buy here and some cheese boards and knives. Worth a shop, if you like cheese!

Been a big fan for a long time of the Barossa Cheese Co, and this weekend we had a meeting with the fantastic Ingrid to help us “design” our perfect cheese wheel cake. Cannot rave enough about Ingrid’s fantastic service, offering us tastings and demonstrating sizings and helping us pull a package together including other amazing accompaniments such as quince and crackers. The cheeses are just amazing here, and the other products are worth a look. Even though we’ve selected our wheel, we might need to pop back in for another tasting!!

Thank you so much for visiting us and trusting us with your wedding cake plans! Ingrid is a true superstar who makes us drool daily with her cheese pairings and cooking inspiration. Her customer service skills are also right up there! So looking forward to your special day and the many visits you make before then! Cheers!

We each paid $5/head for cheese tasting platter which had 4 very small samples of very ordinary cheese on it. No crackers to have the cheese with and the cheese was not very nice. Was left feeling it was not worth the drive out there.

Thanks for your review Linda. The tasting plate is $5 and is enough to share between 2 people as a sample of what we make. The range of products are from mild to strong which can sometimes not be too everyone's taste. We also offer a range of experiences with cheese paired with seasonal produce or wine, these are all served with crackers and can be ordered via our website or on arrival.
