Booked online, was nice and easy. On arrival was greeted by friendly office staff. Then we met Macka! Straight from the get go he had it under control loading everyone in very thoughtfully ensuring family groups were together. Macka was the star of the show with his dry wit, he was very entertaining. During the short hour tour got to see some wildlife before making a big splash on the way back. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Hello Y1487AXfdanieir Isn't it a breeze to book one of tours online :) Our skipper Macka drives the LARCs like a boss and he is very considerate to the needs of keeping families together so they can all enjoy LARCing together :) He shares some great jokes and if you like' dad' jokes, then skipper Macka will be sure to humour you :) There is also an educational part to the commentary as well for all to enjoy. The one hour tour is the tour to do if you are short on time and want a little taste tester of the capabilities of what our LARCs can do. It's also a great way to soak in the magical scenery of Round Hill Creek and the stunning Bay while LARCing along the waterways of the township of 1770. Thank you for your recommendation and we are glad to hear you had an overall enjoyable experience. Kind Regards The LARC! Team

Fun, Educational, VERY Informative - on so many levels.
These guys know exactly what they are doing - we got to experience their passion, knowledge and history of this magical place.
Being greeted by kangaroos on our arrival at the lighthouse, learning about the lighthouse history and all the stories, seeing all the wildlife and learning about the work Neil is continually doing to keep this place protected is an absolute credit to him and all involved.
This tour comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Well done to Neil and our new Guinness Book of Records Legend ......Kev!
Thanks for a bloody great day !

Perfect weather enhanced the experience provided for us by 1770 LARC tours to Bustard Head Lighthouse. Macca' skilled navigation and Sammy's expert local commentary made the day a memorable one. To actually tour an operational lighthouse was a very special experience. Morning tea and lunch provided us with the energy required to fully experience the exhilaration of sand boarding the dunes on Middle Island. A great day out.

Thanks for completely ruining our daughter's and granddaughter's birthday. We booked and paid 8 weeks in advance and received email confirmation last night only to turn up and find we had been bumped. Totally amateurish and unprofessional.

We are also very disappointed that your family was unable to join the tour Sue. And again, we apologise that your preferred tour time was fully booked, and we could only offer you the later Afternoon Cruise departing at 4.30pm. We completely understand that your group decided not to wait for that tour, which is why we initiated your refund instantly. We truly do pride ourselves on our great guest service and part of that is adding extra tours when we are very busy, rather than turning visitors away. We are sorry this did not suit you in this instance. It is recommended for anyone using a third party to make bookings, call the business directly and reconfirm to ensure that all the details are correct.

I must admit I was extraordinarily blown away by the poor service offered by this company.

We booked for a team of 5 people for a full day tour paying around $800.

A last minute contact at 4.45pm the day prior advising of cancellation stating they didn’t meet minimum numbers.

When we attempted to reschedule for another time, we were advised that there was no availability and we could not be accommodated.

With a group happy to meet costs and/or change the day - the representative was rude, not prepared to compromise or accommodate at all.

In a beautiful town such as 1770, we were pretty blown away by the refusal to compromise.

Hello Chloé, We are sorry we could not conduct a tour for your group. Our tours were fully booked for the week so an extra was scheduled to run on Thursday. Unfortunately with a dismal weather forecast it was not eagerly booked. In all attempts to operate this tour we kept availability open until the latest feasible time. Sadly it could not operate and we are as upset about this as you are. Being fully booked for the rest of the week it was impossible for us to reschedule your group during your limited timeframe. These unforeseen circumstances are out of our control. However, the way in which you describe this information was expressed to you from a customer services representative is not up to our company standards. We are embarrassed that a staff member would breech our mission statement and company policy. Please know this incident will not be taken lightly. We truly appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback. If it was not for people like you, underlying problems may not surface to be fixed. We hope that you may return some day so we can share a positive experience with you.

Well had made the booking two months in advance and felt like being a kid when I got into the LARC. I must say this as an absolutely amazing experience. Should I say from the start to end it was ""Macka"". Wonderful extensive knowledge and attention to detail and that sense of humor combined with the experience and visuals made the 1 hour ride an unforgettable event. The staff at the front desk was great too. Thank you LARC for this great experience. Will certainly refer and will be back again. !!!

Hello Arun7541 Glad to hear you booked ahead of the busy holiday season Arun and had an absolutely amazing experience on the LARC! Afternoon Cruise with our skipper Macka :) We couldn't ask for a better recommendation than that :) The short 1 hour cruise gives you the opportunity to experience the LARC! operating as a 4WD along the coastline of the bay and sandbars and also cruising through the water as a boat. Guests also enjoy soaking in the stunning views of the bay, Round Hill Creek and the seaside village of 1770 while spotting birdlife and marinelife. The commentary our guests enjoy with skipper Macka is a very memorable experience too. Educational, fun with lots of dad jokes thrown in. Thank you also for complementing on the customer service our front desk staff. Thank you very much for this wonderful recommendation and we do hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay while visiting the Town of 1770. Kind Regards The LARC! Team

Had the best day yesterday on the full day paradise tour to Bustard Head Lighthouse aboard the LARC.
Our guide Kevin and skipper Macca were full of local knowledge of the area and the wildlife. They also made the day so enjoyable and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone,
Thank you LARC tours.

My husband and I did the 3 hour lunch tour. The weather had been a bit rainy and windy but luckily this didn't have an impact on our tour - in fact the rain held off! Our driver/guide Daniel was excellent! He was a very good driver and also a wealth of knowledge on the local wildlife and history of the area. We stopped for lunch on the beach under a shady tree (Daniel retrieved seats from behind the bushes!). We enjoyed the wraps and fresh fruit! Sometimes guides can talk too much but Daniel got the balance just right! 3 hours was just right for us but my husband would like to return to do the full day tour to the lighthouse - maybe next time we're in the area!

Thank you for your kind words. Our 2 hour LARC and lunch tour is a very easy and relaxed midday excursion. Sounds like you got a bit of extra time out there, this can happen when we get distracted by the wildlife or just having a really good time. We can't wait to welcome you back for our full day Paradise Tour.

We headed off on the full day Larc Paradise tour , it was a fantastic day , from start to finish. Our crew today: tour guide Kevin and skipper Dylan were fantastic!! Kevin and Dylan worked well together and were both extremely knowledgeable. They both insured our day was safe , positive and fun. Truely Bustard Bay is an amazingly beautiful location, this crew were informative, approachable and professional in their presentations of Bustard Bay , light house, wildlife and historical facts , local stories and legends, fun facts , excellent commentary. Skipper Dylan navigated creek crossings, steep hill climbs and descents in the mighty Larc with precision and skill . I highly recommend joining the full day Paradise tour to Bustard Bay Light house !!

We recently did the full day LARC tour - Best day out and well worth the money!
Skipper Dylan navigated us safely through sea and over land, while Kommentator Kev kept us amused and informed with jokes and his vast lnowledge of the area. The lighthouse stop was incredibly interesting and the food delicious.
The chance to sand board the hills was exhilarating and very funny!
Do it - you won’t regrets it.
