Super colonial architecture. Well maintained. In the heart of the city. Good gardens around it. There is also nullah behind this palace and people say this was the escape route in times of emergency.

Now though its not an ancient palace, but being well maintained it definitely is place to visit. The pomp and grandeur of the royal's is in full display. A word of caution, check before you go there as may stay closed on a public holiday.

The place is pretty much well maintained except for some chairs and sofas where the cloth is absolutely torn. Do not miss the ceilings which are done in european style. Look around so that you do not miss the lovely paintings hung. Most of the rooms are barricaded so that you cannot go in and see

The most famous tourist attraction and the residence of the erstwhile rulers of Indore, the Holkars, Lal Baag palace gives a fair idea of the way the maharajas lived.
