The drum tower is in the center of the city and truly a very pretty tower.
But you can't climb it or enter it. So it's more of a lovely landmark than a sight.

I’ve been to other cities in China with a GuLou but this is nothing special, it’s very small and you’re not able to access it at all. You can only take photos from across the street, if you’d like to take photos of Chinese gardens I would suggest going to ZhongShan Park!

The tower is in the middle of the city canter, so it's hard to miss. I would see it as a land mark more than anything else.

This isn't really something you need to go out of your way to see - if you're staying near the center of town you'll probably pass by. It's nice to look at but nothing special.

A great place to wander around at any time of the day, especially in the surrounding streets and alleys at night. As far as the tower itself you can walk up and around and 90 seconds would be enough if they didn't make you stop and write down your "ID number" in a dusty old notebook (I just wrote half of my student ID number from 8 years ago, no reason to actually write your passport number in there). So in total about three minutes is enough :)

This place is nice to see when walking by - especially at night when it is lit up and the intersection is busy.

If you like Muslim food, and who doesn't, this area at night is for you. Noodles and yang rou chan (lamb shaslick) are the specialties.

its not ONLY the drum tower alone that you need to visit, meet the locals at the morning markets, or join in with the daily exercise classes
The locals are very friendly and will have a good laugh at your expense when you join in with the daily exercise classes

It is just there not much else you can really say. It isn't remarkable and not much different from other cities but it is a good congregation point for the locals.
