Visited Beishan Park while in Jilin in February. Very nice park in an otherwise urban setting. Good climb to the hills, to the "northern hills", and quiet temples on top. Seems to be a classical family attraction for local kids of Jilin.

I went in the winter, and it was very peaceful wandering through the park, and then walking up to the temple. The views were fantastic, and a nice way to spend an afternoon.

I went there this winter for some snow fun. They have the snow slides for both adults and kids. It is very exciting to do the adult snow slides with other people. Everyone is tied together and slide down!

First positive thing that there's no entry fee. There are sellers all over the park, even fortune tellers, but they not pushy and not really expensive. There are different paths leading up to the temple, you can choose the one is more suitable to your...More

The lotus pool looks great during summer time. Temples are packed at the Budda's festival in May. There is a monument for the nameless soldiers as well.
